Cairn i interessant gavehumør

21 ansøgere i Grønland har fået tildelt 2,8 millioner kroner fra Cairn Energy - se den fulde donationsliste

Cairn har netop offentliggjort en interessant liste med i alt 21 projekter og ansøgere, som til sammen har fået tildelt 500.000 amerikanske dollar svarende til lidt over 2,8 millioner kroner.

En af de mere iøjnefaldende donationer er støtte til et kursus i forhandlingsteknik, som er givet til Grønlands Arbejdsgiverforening, ligesom blandt andet Gør Maj Sund i Aasiaat, Nipiaa Rockfestival i Aasiaat og langrendsklubben SSP Arpattartut Sisimiut fået støttekroner. SSP Arpattartut Sisimiut har fået penge til køb af ski og udstyr.

Det fremgår af nedenstående liste med samtlige projekter, der nu får støtte af Cairn Energy.

Det oplyser det skoteske selskab i en pressemeddelelse, hvori det ikke fremgår, hvor meget de enkelte projekter hver især har fået tildelt i kroner og øre.

Sermitsiaq.AG har specifik spurgt om de forskellige beløbsstørrelser, hvilket Cairn Energy afviser at oplyse.

- Som en del af vores forpligtelser i henhold til vores tilstedeværelse i Grønland lancerede Cairn Energy i slutningen af 2011 en uddannelses- og udviklingsfond.

- Cairn har været i Grønland siden 2007 og har til formål at arbejde tæt sammen med det grønlandske samfund. Dette initiativ er en integreret del af Cairn sociale ansvar og fællesskab relationer aktivitet, forklarer Cairn Energy.

Råstofskolen – The Greenland School of Minerals and Petroleum in Sisimiut Advanced Offshore Training Programme
Five staff members of The School of Minerals and Petroleum will attend training courses so that new oil and gas courses can be provided to students in Greenland.

Arctic Technology Centre Course development at ARTEK
Development of a 'Challenges of Oil and Gas Activities in the Arctic' course for Arctic Engineers and students at the School of Minerals and Petroleum in Sisimiut.

Nutaaliorfik Grønlands Innovationscenter Interactive oil and gas education installationDesign and creation of an interactive installation that demonstrates different aspects of the oil and gas industry. The design should consist of a small scale model illustrating reservoir geology and possible drilling methods etc.

Qupanuk Egede M.Sc. Mining Engineering
Funding to complete three semesters at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia and gain a Master in Engineering Science (Mining).

Lars Munch LarsenHelicopter Instrument Flying Course Funding application to complete the instrument rating course to be able to apply for a job as a helicopter pilot for the offshore oil and gas industry.

Grønlands Arbejdsgiverforening Executive Negotiation Course
Provision of a course in Executive Negotiation Communicative Competence to be held in Nuuk.

Grønlands Arbejdsgiverforening Offshore Contracts Course
Provision of a course on Offshore Contracts.

Samo Nielsen, Student in Political Science, Department of Social Sciences, Manutooq PhD project description
A three month project to submit a PhD proposal to the University of Greenland Social Sciences Department. The PhD will explore the involvement of key stakeholders in the social impact assessment process.

Aqqaluk Petersen Offshore Course Programme
Funding to attend the following four courses: 1. Auditor training; 2. Basic Offshore Training incl. HUET; 3. Introduction to Offshore Oil and Gas; 4. Offshore Fire Team Member.

Simprentis p/f, Faroe Islands PetroChallenge Greenland 2012
Greenlandic students aged 16-18 will have the opportunity to compete in the PetroChallenge Greenland 2012 event. There will be PetroChallenge Greenland Spring and Fall events in 2012. Winners will compete in further events to determine who will compete at the January 2013 Final in London.

EMJ-Atcon Greenland Technical English Courses
Seven staff members of EMJ will complete a course in technical English.

Norsaq Handball club, Aasiaat Arrangement of the Handball School
Funding has been awarded to the Handball School to support activities at the School including the Christmas tournament and city championships.

Arbejdsgruppen for opstart af aktivitetspark i Ilulissat The Activity Park, Ilulissat
Funding has been granted for the creation of an activity park in Ilulissat.

ASP - Cross Country Skiing Club, Aasiaat Fixtures and Fittings for the Clubhouse
Funding has been awarded to support the expansion of the clubhouse including the procurement of fixtures and fittings.

Gør Maj Sund, Aasiaat 'Just Balance' Guest Speaker for Make May Healthy Programme
The award will contribute to the funding of two guest speakers from ‘Just Balance’, Denmark as part of the ‘Make May Healthy’ programme in Aasiaat.

DSP - Diskomi Sisorartartut Peqatigiit Purchase of Ski Gates
Funding has been awarded to the Skiing club in Qeqertarsuaq to support the Greenlandic Championships in Alpine skiing. Funding will contribute to the purchase of ski gates.

Nipiaa Rockfestival - Aasiaat The NIPIAA Rockfestival 2012
Funding has been awarded to support the Nipiaa Rock Festival 2012 and will contribute to the cost of transport, food, accommodation and the payment of musicians.

NNAP Nuuk Tabletennis Trainer for Nuuk Tabletennis Club
Funding has been awarded to help sponsor a certified trainer for members of the Nuuk Tabletennis Club.

Projekt kunstgræs c/o Kâgssagssuk Artificial Grass for Small Football Field in Maniitsoq
Funding has been awarded to support the project to lay astro turf on the small football field in Maniitsoq.

SSP Arpattartut, Sisimiut Purchase of Ski-sets
Funding has been awarded to support a day of skiing for the city of Sisimiut. Funding will contribute to the purchase of skis and other hardware.

Umiaaraq Napasoq Umiaaraq Championships
Application in support of cultural traditions on the use of the umiaaraq boat.
