Greenland’s Aqqaluk Lynge was elected as the next president of the Inuit Circumpolar Council on Thursday during the final day of the organization’s 11th general assembly in Nuuk.
Lynge currently heads the Greenland chapter of the ICC and was president of the ICC from 1997 to 2006.
ICC presidents are elected after each general assembly, and are chosen from the host nation’s chapter.
