Twenty-five presentations over four days proved too much for many of the 66 delegates to the Inuit Circumpolar Council’s 11th general assembly.
As the meeting in Nuuk drew to a close, they expressed disappointment that there had been too little time to discuss the issues brought up by the scientists, politicians and other experts making presentations.
Particularly the discussions about such looming issues as raw materials, hunting rights and the environment were squeezed out by the tightly packed schedule.
